Andriy's Bio

Andriy Bratishko, PhD

Andriy received his Ph.D. from the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 2011 with majors in Geology, Paleontology and Stratigraphy. His dissertation was "Otoliths and teeth of bony fishes of the Paleogene of Ukraine". During his work in Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University as Senior Lecturer he continued his research of Paleogene as well as Neogene fish otoliths of Eastern and Central Parathethys. He was involved into many national and international paleontological projects including joint scientific works with researches from Ukraine, Germany, Italy et al. This cooperation resulted in several significant publications. Andriy is an author of several new otolith-base species. Andriy joined BugWare in 2015 and immediately began intensive studies of foraminifera from the Gulf of Mexico as well as other sections in Korea. He is fortunate to obtain mentoring from Atsushi Ando (BugWare, Inc.) and Jerry Ragan (Ragan Biostrat) both in the office an on extensive offshore prospects. Membership: Paleontological Society of Ukraine; Geography Society of Ukraine.
